Special Council Meeting - October 23, 2012 - Personnel
SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
OCTOBER 23, 2012 7:33 P.M.
PRESENT: Randy Snyder, Jerry Twombly and Scott Huss. Kevin Lackey and Lori Kelley were absent.
ALSO PRESENT: Ted Collins, Dennis Snyder, Bill Butrick, Art Buckingham, Brandon Whetstine and Melanie Hollabaugh.
PRESIDING: Mayor Ken Stewart
PURPOSE: To discuss Police personnel
The meeting was called to order at 7:33p.m. with a quorum present.
Randy Snyder moved to go into executive session for 30 minutes to discuss personnel and for Police Chief Brandon Whetstine, Officer Art Buckingham, City Attorney Ted Collins, City Clerk Bill Butrick and City Clerk Melanie Hollabaugh to remain. Scott Huss 2nd, motion carried.
7:58p.m. The Council asked all who were not Council members or the Mayor to leave the room for the last 5 minutes of the executive session.
8:03p.m. Randy Snyder moved to come out of executive session. Jerry Twombly 2nd, motion carried.
Jerry Twombly moved for the City to advertise for a full-time/part-time Police Officer. Randy Snyder 2nd, motion carried.
Randy Snyder moved for Officer Art Buckingham to remain employed with the City but to no longer receive his full-time pay and to be paid only by Workman’s Comp, with his last full paycheck to be issued on November 6th, 2012. Scott Huss 2nd, motion carried.
