News Update
I don’t have much to write about this week except the cold rainy weather. It’s no wonder everyone is becoming ill with colds and flu. It is so hard to keep away from it, but we do now have hand sanitizer on each table. We all have to be very careful when we are shopping. Walmart has sheets to wipe off the cart handles back in the pharmacy as well as the hand cleaner. We women need to carry this product in our purses. I don’t know where the men will carry theirs.
The November menus are ready for distribution. Please note all centers will be closed WED. NOV 11th for VETERANS DAY. We will also be closed two days for the Thanksgiving holiday. Those dates are Thurs., Nov 26th and Fri. Nov 27th. We have some great meals coming up. Right off the bat we have roast pork with all the trimmings on the 2nd AND THEN ON NOV. 3rd WE HAVE LIVER AND ONIONS. Liver lovers don’t miss out on this meal. Judy makes the best liver around. It is mild, tender and delicious. The rest of the lunch includes a baked potato, buttered corn, a big fudgy brownie and fruit cup. The meals always include coffee, milk tea or water or all of the above. To get your meal for the low, low suggested donation of $2.75, you only have to be 60yrs old or older. Make sure you call by 9:30a.m. the day before you wish to eat at 442-5550. Stop by and pick up a monthly menu or watch the KS Chief for a weekly menu. We do carryout meals and we accept Vision cards.
If you need a ride to shop, go to the Dr. or Dentist, get your hair done or any other appointment you have, please call Public Transportation at 785-985-2380.

Wed. Nov 4th, site council board meeting right after lunch.
Tues. Nov 10th, WII bowling competition starts at 10:3a.m.
Wed. Nov 11th CLOSED in observance of VETERANS DAY.
Tues Nov 24th, bowling playoffs at Wathena Healthcare Center
Thurs & Fri, Nov 26 & 27, CLOSED FOR THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY.
